Ask your Doc/nurses: Your doctor should explain what exactly is being giving to you in terms of chemotherapy drugs. One of the chemo drugs(5-FU) is commonly used as a continuois infusion over 24 hours. Other drugs are typically given over 1 to 2 houur IV infusions. You should watch what is being given to you. Details depend on the type of cancer being treated.
