Depends: It depends on the type of chemo, duration of treatment, cancer type, response to chemo and also the side effects experienced during therapy. It can be therefore a few days or 3-4 weeks before your next visit with your oncologist.

Ask your Oncologist: After completing a prescribed number of chemo treatments, your oncologist should have scheduled you for your next visit or counseled you on frequency of follow-ups and tests/scans. Sometimes chemo-holidays are given or maintenance chemo programs or even just observation depending on the kind of cancer and response. A different phase of treatment may be needed like hormone manipulation or x-rays.
