Varies: The chemotherapy "toxins" are often gone in hours to days (depending on drug and the person it is in). However, the side effects of chemotherapy can last hours to days to months or longer.

Chemotherapy: Each chemotherapy has a different half life. This means that each chemotherapy is cleared from the body at a different rate. Most chemotherapy agents are totally gone from the body in a matter o a few days. Even after the chemo is gone the side effects may continue.
