You may need to undergo xrays and/or

A couple of days: It usually resolves quickly with a local steroid injection. If it perists, it may be secondary to low back issues and not a true bursitis.

No: The injection you will receive for troch bursitis will have steroids in it  more than likely, but the single dose given locally does not normally have much systemic effect at all. If you were diabetic you may note a small spike in your sugars, but it should not  cause any longer systemic effects like weight gain. Hope this helps and feel better soon!

Not normal: When did the pain occur in relation to the shot? I'm thinking: needle trauma/hematoma/infection vs frank tear of the gluteal muscle attachments (which we see a lot after steroid weakens the muscles/tendons). Alternatively you may have "sciatic" pain referred from the low back (and not a hip bursitis at all).

Hip bursitis: Too many corticosteroid injections can weaken the tendons. Are you overusing your hip joints by certain exercises? Have you had an MRI of the hip to look for other pathology? If  the: anesthetic contained some EPINEPHRINE (to allow it to remain numb for a while...THAT may be responsible for the palpitations!
In any case a few HOURS should exhaust this effect!
