No!!!: You will be under local anesthesia.  Sometimes, after a root canal treatment, there is some soreness.  This can almost always be covered with some minor pain killers.  Antibiotics are also frequently used.
Rarely, there is a real flare up and an emergency visit or a stronger pain killer is needed.
Remember, i said rarely.

Depends: Often, a front tooth single canal is performed in about 1 hour or less & a premolar or molar will take longer, because they have more canals(2, 3 or more)  in these teeth to seal.
Usually a root canal gets you "out of pain" but you may have some discomfort.
Yes, root canal treated teeth are more brittle than non-treated teeth, so you may need a crown & will need to be careful eating on that tooth.
