No!!!: You will be under local anesthesia. Sometimes, after a root canal treatment, there is some soreness. This can almost always be covered with some minor pain killers. Antibiotics are also frequently used. Rarely, there is a real flare up and an emergency visit or a stronger pain killer is needed. Remember, i said rarely.

Very similar: As a patient in the chair would hear me say, the root canal procedure is very much like a long filling appointment from the patients perspective.

It shouldn't: When you get a root canal, you will get numb. You shouldn't feel anything. If for some reason you do, which can happen, like with a filling, let the Dentist know and he/she will get you more numb.
