Yes: Yes if there is a cervical  spine abnormality causing trapping  and pinching of a nerve, this can definitely result in light headed, dizziness, headaches, nausea, blurred vision, alongside with neck and back pain. You need to see an Orthopaedic surgeon to get an MRI to evaluate this further

last september i went to the er for numbness in left arm. they said i either have a pinched nerve or herniated disc in my cervical spine. when i turn my head i can feel the pain radiate down my arm. can feel pain when i do neck exercises. x-ray asap?

: There is no urgency but you should have a MRI done sooner or later. Pain and numbness of the arm are common symptoms of cervical herniated disc or cervical spondylosis. If possible, you should see a spine orthopedist or a neurosurgeon. Neck exercise is still recommended.

NCV: A MRI is the standard imaging test but a nerve conduction velocity/ EMG is probably the most sensitive test for nerve impingement. A good physical examination combined with your history will go a long way as well. See a medical professional.

Yes: Is not uncommon for people who have back problems to also have knee and hip problems since arthritis is a systemic disease frequently. Your back pain may have offset your gate and irritated your kn ee cause swelling of the knee. However, it is not uncommon for people with herniated discs or back problems to experience episodes of generalized swelling of one or both lower extremities. Sinceback problems are neurologic in nature the homeostasis of the circulatory system can be affected. Of course there's also concern for reflex sympathetic dystrophy. We would need specific information on your physical exam and history. We would combine this with imaging studies to get a diagnosis. I would also start with an x-ray of the affected me.
