Yes: Yes if there is a cervical spine abnormality causing trapping and pinching of a nerve, this can definitely result in light headed, dizziness, headaches, nausea, blurred vision, alongside with neck and back pain. You need to see an Orthopaedic surgeon to get an MRI to evaluate this further

Concussion Syndrome: Typically a "pinched nerve" in the lower back will not cause any dizziness. If he was in an accident, it is possible that your son may have suffered a concussion even without loss of consciousness. I would recommend further evaluation by a specialist for that possibility. There are many other causes of dizziness that may require an ENT evaluation or neurological consult. Medication side effects?
