within the last year i have had 3 left knee surgeries. first used a cadaver plug, 2nd was a partial knee replacement, and 3rd open patella lateral release. my knee is worse than when i had the 1st surgery. my anterior pain is severe. what do i do now?

Call your ortho: Go to your orthopedic Dr. It could be an infection or failure of the cement.

Observe: After knee replacement or other major surgery there can be either numbness or hypersensitivity of local nerves.    When you put "heat" creme on hypersensitive nerves, it can cause a burning sensation.  It's probably not dangerous.  Worth watching if the sensation gets better when you withhold the creme.  The main thing to do is make sure you get your range of motion back and strengthen you knee.

my left side of my rt knee is bone on bone.doctor sd he cd do partial knee replacement. it hurts 2 walk. i'm 83 & i really dont wnt operation so he injected me w a gel or chicken shot. it bn 1 week & still pain. does shot take longer than week 2 work?

Surfaces restored: When one side of your knee joints cartilage wears down , you can resurface the end of the bone with a femoral implant made of cobalt chrome and a tibial component made of titanium and polyethylene.  These implants are secured to the bone with a special cement. Precision installation is the key to long term success.  Robotics has made this a reproducibly excellent joint retoring procedure.

Normal function: A normally functioning knee with good pain relief that should last 10-20 years 80% of the time.  Swelling for first few weeks, with some stiffness.  Gentle range of motion and rest initially, with advancing activities as swelling resolves.

Why?: Im not sure why one would go to 
singapore to have such a procedure done?
I would have it done in the states if it is 
indicated
you certainly don't want to have a partial
replacement done and then find out that it
wasnt sufficient for your problem and then
need to undergo a total knee replacement.

1-2 months: Full function and range of motion can be restored as soon as 2 weeks, but full strength may take more than 2 months.

Hopefully quick: Partial knee replacements tend to progress at a much faster rate than a total.  Often times, within one-two weeks, you should be getting around quite well without much pain.

Knee replacement : The issue is not the pain ( that will go away ).  The issue is your rehab, rehab is all on you. No pain no gain. The harder you work at it the better the outcome. Got to do it on your own (therapist are there to tell you what to do, you have to do it by yourself over & over& over at home many times a day by yourself. Allow a full year to get accustom to the new knee  good luck.
