Gastroscopy needed: If your colonoscopy was normal, but you were found to have an ulcer on gastroscopy, then you should have a follow up gastroscopy to make sure the ulcer is healed.  I assume that you have received treatment for the ulcer.

NO: Ulcers and/or sores that appear in one day and gone the next are not ulcers.  Hiv or canker sores last for weeks and are never gone overnight.

Yes: Stress is a big contributing factor for mouth sores, poor healing, and pain. Stress from anxiety can be significant in wound healing. Mouth ulcers; the same.  Poor nutrition is another major player in delayed healing. Sufficient water intake is also important. If anxiety cannot be improved right away, make sure other factors are taken care of. If persists, see a doctor to check the sores.

Depends on etiology.: How was. The diagnosis established. If herpetic lesions may respond to antivirals like acyclovir. It is important to rule out other causes of esophagitis. A gastroenterologist might be helpful.

an come and go, unless cause is treated.  Stomach ulcers need to followed to complete healing because about 3=5% of stomach ulcers are ulcerated cancers (not benign ulcers turning into cancer)
