Burning in chest : A burning or gnawing feeling in the upper abdomen or midchest minutes or hours after eating is the most common symptom. It can feel like heartburn and is often hard to know the difference. Taking an antacids like Tums (calcium carbonate) usually make it feel better temporarily. If you are having these symptoms speak with your pcp or a gastroenterologist as it can indicate a serious problem.

I presume you mean: stomach or gastric ulcer (there can be ulcerations of skin wounds, in the mouth, etc)? Burning pain in the lower chest or upper abdomen, often relieved with eating, along with nausea, indigestion, burping or vomiting are all symptoms of gastric ulcer. The pain can be dull and more generalized over the add omen. Also, signs of bleeding ... vomiting/coughing blood or black stools. Stay well:)
