Cannot Predict: There are too few cases of jacobs syndrome to make any prognostic judgments.  Most patient will have some degree of flexion contracture of a joint and suffer from synovitis which is inflammation of the joints.  Severe cases also develop inflammation of the muscle surrounding the heart (pericarditis) which causes the greatest risk for life-threatening medical issues.

No hardcore exercise: Marfan syndrome persons should avoid contact sports. If symptoms are on the moderate to severe side, they can participate in non-contact, non-strenguous activities such as golf, bowling, walking, yoga, or Tai-Chi. If mild to moderate in severity, they can try non-contact, moderately strenguous activities such as biking or swimming. The National Marfan Foundation website is helpful.

Yes and No: The life span for individuals with Down syndrome is much shorter that that of general population.  However, many of them survives to reach age 40 now since major cardiac defects have been successsfully repaired in their infancy.

whay is the minimum dose of lorazepam for an adult. i am taking 1 mg at bed time.is there any withdrawl syndrome if used for a longer period.

Variable: The dose of Lorazepam required for effectiveness varies with the person, because tolerance to it is possible.  And yes, taking 1 mg at bedtime can result in your eventually having a withdrawal syndrome. Your additional info indicates you're taking Clonazepam as well -- and that you have "confusion, snoring, & weakness" as conditions.  All 3 could result from heavy sedative use.  See your doctor.

my 2 year old son has croup. is there anything i can give him for phlegm? he has evens syndrome which is a blood disorder so takes longer to recover.

Croup: you need to make sure to use a cool most humidifier. Try also steam shower. We treat them with Decadron (dexamethasone) which could be one of the ways to treat croup

i have sjogrens syndrome & today was diagnosed with hpv will it take my body longer to heal itself from hpv? what can i do to build up my immune syste

Yes: Sjogren's makes most wounds heal slower anyway. Since HPV often affects mucous membranes in the mouth, intestines and reproductive organs and Sjgroen's makes these drier than normal is would be more difficult to claer the HPV. Remember HPV has many forms and some stay in your system indefinitely once you have them but the symptoms will flare up from time-to-time.

Facial Asymmetry: It is not unusual that a slight difference exists between the right and left sides of your face. It is most likely genetic in nature. Consult with a local dentist, oral surgeon, or plastic surgeon to discuss your options if the discrepancy is that disfiguring.

i've recently had varicose vein treatment, i had surgery once before, but this time i've had the injections, how long should the pain last, and will it take longer as i have klippel trenauny syndrome?

Couple of wks: Most likely your big veins were ligated,    striped, and had sclerosing injections were given to small spider veins, this may take2 to 3 wks, speak to your doctor,  other problem you meant carpel tunnel syndrome, due to compression of median nerve at wrist, your doctor will mobilize wrist first with splint , physical therapy, if  fails will release the nerveby surgery.Bothare not bad wiibefine.

having been diagnosed with "cauda equina syndrome", i am heavily medicated because of intense pain.  consequently, i am no longer in pain.  while waiting for treatment, will i make my situation worse by walking my dog?

Cause equina: Cause equina syndrome can cause leg weakness and risk of falling. Use your judgement if you have any concerns about leg weakness or unsteadiness. I assume your dog is obedient when taken for a walk. One bad fall can change your life.

i had a surgery for testicle torsion it was to remove it as it had died and got infected when i woke up i was yellow skin and eyes this was week ago they said it was gilbert syndrome and my dad also has it im no longer yellow should i be concerned?

: Yes, the infection triggers clinical manifestations (scleral icterus and mild jaundice with total bilirubin above 3mg/dL) of Gilbert syndrome which is most often asymptomatic with total bilirubin less than 2 mg/dL.
