Maybe not: I would see a foot doctor for the true answer. If the pain is only after wearing high heels this may be something you have to avoid. Might need further xrays to clear up the questions

Tendinitis : With a side of nerve inflammation. Most likely part of the injury process and should respond with rice time and conservative care.  If the talus fracture you list is recent then would definitely recommend close follow up with your doc.

Stand and shoot: Once you can stand +/- an ankle brace, you can start sport-specific rehabilitation immediately, such as shooting without jumping, cutting, or pushing off with the injured foot. You will be able to advance as tolerated until you are cleared for normal individual drills and finally team drills once all pain with activities has resolved. Physical therapy can help guide you along a standard algorithm.

Be seen: Be seen and examined and have an X-ray for a more specific diagnosis than an "ankle injury". Some injuries require no immobilization, others boots or casts, the restrictions on whether or not to bear weight are important as well.  An accurate diagnosis will tl how it should be treated.

i have a severe inversion ankle injury but now noticing bad pain on the top of my foot my foot and ankle very swollen.. should i be worried?

Elevate foot: Ankle sprains  (negative x-ray without fracture) can cause pain and swelling the latter lasting up to several months. The ligaments that are torn take apron. 2-6 weeks to heal. If pain persists longer than that you may need an MRI to rule other injuries to the ankle that do not show upon a plain x-ray.Elevate foot higher than you heart and see doc again if concerned.

i had an ankle injury, which has gotten worse and it hurts to walk, and now my knee on the same leg is hurting. could the knee pain be b/c the ankle?

Yes.: The mechanics of walking are off with an injured ankle. It would be easy to also injure the knee in that way. Time to see a physician, xray if indicated, maybe a walking cast, at least compression bandage, crutches to take some of the weight off the leg if no walking cast perhaps, ice, rest, elevation. Exercise via swimming for now.

taken tramadol 50mg around half an hour/hour ago and still experiencing a lot on pain in right ankle traveling up my leg. have ankle injury which not had mri results, what other pain relief could help?

Pain rx: For an acute injury, elevate ankle, apply ice for 20-30 min evety 1-2 hr while awake, and add an NSAID.  If ibuprofen available,b take 600 mg every 4 hr.  If naprosyn (naproxen) available otc, take 220 mg every 8 hours.  Then try your best to stay off your foot.

when do you prescribe a cast vs a walking boot after foot and ankle injury?

They are similar: A cast and a walking boot are similar and accomplish many of the same goals. The main difference is that you can remove a walking boot but cannot remove a cast. Walking boots are great when the condition that you are treating is safe to remove from the immobilization temporarily, eg to take a shower. In instances where it is not appropriate to remove the immobilization, a cast is better.

i was prescribed prednisone for an ankle injury and now i have intense tingling in my foot, and terrible insomnia! is this normal?

Ankle injury: the tingling can be related to the injury you sustained, may not be related to the Prednisone, however the insomnia can be a side effect of it, take the dose in the am, you may want to call your doctor with your concerns probably for a revisit or alternative treatment, good luck
