My left ankle has been swelling for the last month. I have noticed in the past 2 weeks my low calf has now swollen. My left foot is starting to not fit in my shoes. I was given a prescription of prednisone, but the swelling has gotten worse.

What causes swollen hands, feet, and ankles? Not reduced with diuretic only prednisone. Swelling inbetween finger joints not the joints themselves.
