These materials are removed in urine, feces, exhaled, sweat, etc. Junk food: non-nutritional food often high in sugar/fat and low in fiber, protein, vitamins or minerals. These are not a challenge to the excretory system but to metabolism often leading to obesity, diabetes, arterial plaque. AVOID THEM!!

Don't eat junk: Eat foods that are nutrient dense (like meat, fish, poultry, eggs, cheese, low starch vegatables and water) avoid foods that are not nutrient dense (like starches and sugars, including fruit)
nutrient dense foods will increase your basal metabolic rate. On the other hand, starches and sugars impair thyroid metabolism via affects on your liver (which helps activate thyroid hormone).

Being mindful of your desire to be healthy will allow you to make better decisions.

And yes, I do mean 'addiction'.
