No perfect treatment: Sea lice do not have a specific treatment and will resolve in about one week. Itching is under bathing suit area.  And this is usually caught in fresh not salt water. Topical or oral steroids can reduce itching until it resolves.

"Sea lice": Actual byproduct of jellyfish. Various treatments, cold showers, ice, NSAIDS, bathing in dilute vinegar and using 1% hydrocortisone cream(which may help your rash). All the best.

Vinegar: 'sea lice' are stings from microscopic  jelly fish  babies. They can be both painful and itchy. Remove your swimsuit, shower. Afterwards rinse affected areas with dilluted vinegar (about 1 bottle per gallon of water) to deactivate the venom.  If still itchy you can use topical anti-itch creams and oral antihistamines. It takes several weeks for this to heal.  See your doctor if severe.

You can even hire professional 'nitpickers' (really!) . Schools usually have 'no nit' policies, but old nits do not not necessarily signify an active or contagious infection.

Lice are not  nice: Tx of lice requires accurate identification of nits & / or lice.  A pediculicide is usually used- otc like nix (permethrin) or rid or prescription meds like lindane or malathion. Work carefully through hair & remove individual nits. Purchase a special lice nit comb to aid you. Check for nits & remove as seen over the next  7 to 10 days. If there are nits after 7 to 10 days – a 2nd pediculicide tx may be needed.

For head lice -a pediculicide is usually used- otc like nix (permethrin) or rid or prescription meds like lindane or.
