what are the symptoms of a broken heart syndrome? i heard about the death of a friend today and immediately went to full blown panic  with a severe racing heart i took a 1/4 of propanol immediately but worried even though that happened hours ago?

GRIEF &amp; PANIC: The shock of your grief reaction led to a panic attack. A lot of anxiety it makes you more likely to have a panic attack. Panic attacks can mimic the signs of a heart attack but are very treatable. Consult with a Clinical Psychologist for video psychotherapy to help. Have a physical exam by a Dr. to know if you have an illness. Medication prescribed by a Psychiatrist can help.

It can be.  : Anxiety symptoms can include feeling nervous or irritable, muscle tension (especially in neck, shoulders ; back), poor quality or minimal sleep, lack of concentration ; easy fatiguability. Lump in throat or butterfly in stomach sensation can occur. Sometimes the worst thing about anxiety is the just not being able to put your finger on the reason that you feel that way.  Arrange for a psychiatric.

See below: Now very rare  (except in immune deficient patiens e.g. Aids) syphilis has many presentations primrysyphilis presents with sores in the genital area (a chancre), secondary often presents with a rash and tertiary causes many symptoms from spinal cord to brain disorders from stroke to gpi ( general paresis of the insane) mistaken in the past for purely psychiatric disorders.

Not inevitable: Death occurs in only a small minority of Covid-19 infections, primarily in those with underlying conditions such as advanced age, lung disease, diabetes, renal failure, obesity.  The time of onset is often difficult to pinpoint.  And disease progression rate varies dramatically with or without intervention/treatment/hospitalization.  So no way to answer this. Best treatment by far is prevention.

Obvious symptoms: The aorta is the high-pressure, biggest artery coming out of the heart. A small fistula connected to it would have high pressure blood squirting out with each heartbeat. That means a person would be throwing up lots of blood or pooping out lots of blood.

Not always: Sudden cadiac death may be associated with asymtomait congenitalt abnormalities such as arrhythmogenic  right ventricular cardiomyopathy, long qt syndromes, brugada syndrome , wpwsyndrome, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy also with such condition as cardac sarcoid.This is compaired to symptomatic condition as ashd, end stage low ejeection cardiiomyopathies.

ive been on 1 mg of lorazepam 3x a day for 25 years. i want to get off it but too scared of withdrawal symptoms and death. what can i do?

Call your prescriber: Your prescriber should be able to help you with this.  You may need to get a 2nd opinion , some one who does ot rely on benzodiazepines as much . There are definately other options that should help you.  PCP or your payment cpverage should be able to help you find a good counselor, who does CBT many more non-med approaches that are effective than there used to be. , Best Wishes

Call/be with someone: Should be with someone u trust. And if u can't find someone to be with call them. If u don't want to talk to anyone u know, call the suicide crises hotline. They will talk u for hours and provide great support. Remember u ALWAYS have other choices.

Varies: Shortness of breath. Hemorrhage from anywhere. Feeling cold. Drop in blood pressure, and pallor. Sudden onset of ascites or marked worsening of jaundice. Liver cancer can hang on for a very long time with little in the way of symptoms. The time of death is famously unpredictable. Cherish each day you have left.
