what to do if i have shin splints in both legs and plantar fasciitis in both feet at the same freaking time! how does this happen?

See below: Need more flexiblity and foot support. When muscles in back of legs are excessively tight, muscles and tendons at front of leg have to work harder to flex ankle while walking: especially when running. Excessive tension is also created at plantar fascia. Initially, ice/ rest will be helpful. More supportive shoes and inserts/orthotics will also help. Stretching exercises will increase flexibility.

i am wearing plantar fasciitis splints as i have been cramping from toes, up back of legs to neck. i also take soma & norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen). i have fibro. is that ok?

why bottom of my left leg feel dull sharp pain even without touching it and sometimes the pain radiate to my left side of stomach. the pain comes and go.
i have plantar fasciitis and the pain is different from the pain im feeling now. please help?

read calf stretches help plantar fasciitis. when i perform calf stretches the heel on same leg starts throbbing within 20 seconds. is this normal?

Not normal: throbbing is not normal for stretches.
Throbbing indicates some type of injury.

Probably: Plantar fasciitis is typically in the bottom of the heel. Worse in morning and after rest. It can hurt up the leg too from walking differently to compensate. Try ice, Achilles stretches, NSAIDs, orthotics, good shoes. Avoid barefoot and flat shoes without support. See you local podiatrist.  It could be this problem or something else. They can help you get better.

i had the tarsal tunnel release surgery and plantar fasciitis surgery on 24 april. i will still be in a cast until 24 may. i have muscle spasm and cramping in my lower affected leg. do you have any advise to relieve this?

Call the surgeon: You should alert the surgeon about this problem. We need to make sure that you do not end up with a blood clot in the leg because of inactivity .

Plantar fasciitis : You have a difficult diagnosis to treat. That being said the doctor has to consider a plan that both of you can agree with. Everything from custom orthotics to splinting and physical therapy to surgery are all possible treatments. You need to go to see a podiatrist or an MD or DO whom work with this diagnosis.

Maybe: A night splint is an option that is used by many patients, yet i wouldn't say that it is always important.  There are more important treatments including daily active stretching and soft supportive shoe inserts.  Cortisone injections are also popular.

i've had plantar fasciitis for 14 months. i've done physical therapy, cortisone shot, night splint, and lots of stretching. what else can i do?

Plantar Fasciitis: Perhaps you will need to be evaluated for another painful heel condition such as stress fracture paget's disease rheumatoid arthritis sickle cell anemia there are several others. Advanced testing such as mris or cats can help.
