my question is i didn't wait 30 minutes (only a few) for for the sample to dry as the instructions stated as i was in a hurry. 
would that affect the result?

Not dependent on HIV: Whether a person is on chronic medication or not is not dependent on HIV or whatever disease the person has. Chronic medication just means a person takes medication chronically, and the definition has nothing to do with the type of medication or the type of disease. We usually call it chronic medication if there is no end in sight within the next 3-6 months, or thereabouts.

Reduced risk: If you are talking about the person on the receiving end of semen during fellatio, the risk is diminished by the reduced viral load, but not eliminated.  Any sexual contacts with an hiv+ person still carries risk.

: The effectiveness of their treatment determines whether this is true. Current treatment plans revolve around finding "detectable" levels of the virus in their blood during regular testing. If they achieve a "undetectable" level they are unlikely to pass the virus. Just being on treatment does not mean they have reached this point.

: There is medicine that can be given if you think you have been exposed to HIV. Have you been tested? Perhaps you should go to a different doctor for another opinion. Without knowing what your exposure is, there is no way to know how serious the exposure is. That’s something your doctors need to know to figure out what the treatment should be. HIV prevention: This is too complex an issue to resolve or for you to rely on a distant forum like this. The most effective and important way to protuct your partner is for you to be on anti-HIV drugs, with good control of your viral load. In that case, he probably does not need pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) -- if you are his only partner. Discuss with the doctor or clinic managing your HIV. Good luck!
