i have gerd and on omeprozole, my mouth/tongue is very dry & my voice sometimes is hoarse. anything i can take? is this cause from taking ppi s?

: Dry mouth is probably from mouth breathing when sleeping. You sound dehydrated. Drink at least two quarts of clear fluids a day. Sounds like you have exposure to allergens or airway irritants. DC smoking and alcohol. No throat clearing, Suck on lozenges to stimulate salivary glands. You may have acid reflux disease. Could try Prilosec and eating habit modifications
