A Loaded Question: The only way we know of to improve concentration is discipline and training. Long term use of amphetamines and most psycho-active drugs cause the opposite. At first you feel patient and time passes easily. You stay focused longer but are processing data at half the speed. After a few years if you take  away the drug you'll be anxious, irritable, and completely unable to concentrate. Try coffee.

: If you take both together and no side effects such as fast heart beat, tremors, or a racing mind, than it's ok to take at same time. If any side effects than wait 4-6 hours to take the other pill.

vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) and adderall no longer very effective, even with dose increases.  it worked great a year ago.  so, what now?

It depends: What are you measuring in your definition of effective? If you would name each symptom still present, it would be easier to direct you to other alternatives. You should consult your dr, make a list of symptoms that you would like to see disappear, and he will help you.

: When unanticipated responses to chronic medication are experienced, this is typically a result of tolerance.  Consideration for dosage modification or alternative medications may be needed.  Contact your doctor and discuss options in detail.
Several alternative pathways may be beneficial.

My opinion?: Llikely didn't work for even 1 day. Unfortunately, sorry to put it like that but you may have just witnessed the classic "placebo effect" in action.  More recently work has been coming out calling into question the ACTUAL MEASURABLE effects of these medications for ADD &amp; ADHD. You'll have to speak to your provider. There are other agents but maybe the diagnosis needs to be reviewed or revised?

i take 50mcg of levothyroxine in the morning for my hypothyroidism, i just started taking 15mg of adderall and im not sure if im allowed to take them at the same time, or wait an hour after the thyroid for the adderall?

: There are no drug interactions between Synthroid and Adderall. However, for Synthroid, you will have to take it in the morning 30-60 minutes before eating on an empty stomach, or 3-4 hours after the last meal.

Where have heard?: I am not aware of any problems taking a multivitamin and Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) together. The only thing i can think of is if the vitamin c dose is high, it may make for a more acidic environment and so affect drug absorption. But i found no studies suggesting this actually happens.

was prescribed ultracet (tramdol and acetaminophen) by pa for broken tooth.i take adderall xr.pharmacist said there's a "major reaction" w/these. how long should i wait after taking adderall? i took it yesterday midday for work.

Speak to Doctor!: Please don't look to the pharmacist or the internet for the answer to your question. You need to discuss this with the doctor who is treating you and prescribed the medication. It is his\her responsibility for your treatment and well-being.  Call the office right away and if closed, ask to be called back right away.
