Prob conclusive, but: This test probably will detect all HIV infections 4-6 weeks after completing PEP. However, it isn't certain. There has been no research on whether and how long a positive test may be delayed if PEP doesn't work. Therefore, most experts recommend a final test at 3 or even 6 months. This is one reason PEP should be done only after a high risk expsoure, because it prolongs uncertainty and anxiety.

: No medical test is 100% conclusive. The test you had was fourth generation HIV test (antibodies and p-24 antigen) which has 99.7% sensitivity and that is considered the best test you can have at 42 days post exposure. I think you can be rest assured if you are completely asymptomatic.

HIV testing &amp; RNA: Read the CDC updated recommendations on HIV testing. The rationale for this test being available is that HIV RNA is detectable in plasma before antibodies. A safe approach is to be tested after the eclipse period after potential exposure when no RNA nor antibodies to HIV can be detected.  The RNA test is effective around 10 days after infection but seroconversion to antibodies may take 3 months.

HIV nucleic acid: If you had a HIV nucleic acid test, six months after exposure, and it was negative, you do not have HIV. The symptoms may be due to some thing else.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

: Typical testing regimen is at 1 month (more than 28 days) and 6 months. If either is positive, you will be offered medications that reduce the viral load in your bloodstream. You should talk to your Dr about using PrEP while you are waiting for results, and even if they come back negative. These prophylactic meds can prevent HIV infection during high risk encounters.

Two tests: Not sure i would call it a "rule", but i would say that:

1. One HIV negative test is never enough.

2. One is not HIV positive until:
    i. Hiv screen is positive, and
    ii. The screen is confirmed by a positive western blot

of course there are a few nuances to this, but you will have to be more specific about your question.

Yes, retest.: If you were concerned enough to have an HIV test, do follow through with a second test - when your health care provider recommended it be done. It would be so unfortunate if you didn't get the help you needed by assuming you are negative, when you really aren't! additionally, you could unknowingly spread the disease to others.
