hit my head on a metal beam. i just got over another concussion headaches that stopped after months and now they are back, could this be permanent?

Usually not.: If you didn't loose your consciousness, have dizziness. blurry vision. or weakness of face, arms, or or legs, then headaches alone would usually last for a period of weeks and disappear. Headache like yours lasting for months are rare and do not necessarily recur.

i hit the top of my head on a beam five days ago. i didnt pass out but had a lump. today i had blurred vision and difficulty reading for an hour.

Head: Held up by neck. Head is hard, but internal superficial bleed  possible. Neck blunt or crashing injury can  strain spinal cord or exiting nerves. Always serious injury, recommend go be evaluated.

Concussion: The brain is encased in the skull. When you get a hit to the skull the delicate brain tissue responds with pain. Concussions are graded I,II,III. You likely have a Grade ll concussion.
Need more information.
Consult a Doctor for further evaluation and treatment.

Unlikely: Are you having weakness on one side of your body or seizures? If you are not, I wouldn't worry about a subdural hematoma. You're a 27-year-old, which isn't the typical type of person we see with chronic subdural hematomas. They're more often seen in babies, the elderly, and alcoholics. Hope that helps!

i got a concussion 5 weeks ago and hit my head again today (back of the head) by kneeling and then getting up and hitting cabinet door. is this dangerous to hit head again so soon? i just got a headache in the spot that i hit today.

Yes and no: Most head strikes do not end up in concussions,  it since your 1st one did, your brain is still sensitive for several months. The 2nd hit you described does NOT sound dangerous, but more like hitting a ‘sore’ part of the body. Physical pain, but not damage! In the meantime, follow a schedule, get proper rest, exercise, eat healthy, avoid alcohol and sedating medications (unless prescribed).

Consider Tylenol (acetaminophen): Did you lose consciousness?   You can have a concussion with or without loss of consciousness. Headache/ pressure of head? Are you unable to recall what happened? Do you feel dizzy  or have ringing in the ears? Confusion or slurred speech?  Nausea or vomiting? Extreme fatigue? If you believe you have a concussion please seek prompt medical care.

Tmj irritation: Could be muscular  or skeletal in origin.May have irritated your TMJ

Head hit: The real issue is was there a loss of consciousness? also if this is just one episode of nausea - its not a problem. Is there any vision changes? Are there any headaches? Are you taking anything that makes you prone to bleeding?
