Anemia and pregnancy: Being pregnant can cause anemia.  Discuss with your obstetrician.  It also depends what your haemoglobin was before you were pregnant.

Cushing syndrome: Cortisol thru the roof is Cushing syndrome until ruled out. Our job is to figure out why this is happening. Taking steroids can do this but shouldn't affect thyroid. I'd be more concerned about pituitary adenoma which can cause both Cushing AND central hypothyroidism (usually low TSH means hyperthyroidism) but in case of space occupying lesion in pituitary, it may put out ACTH in favor of TSH.

It could be: If your hypothyroidism is related to an autoimmune disorder, then your skin problem may be as well - guilty by association.  Make sure that you have not become allergic to one of the medications you have been taking. There are several options on treatment and I suggest that you consult a dermatologist, a 2nd opinion if needed.

No one thing: No one thing would cause both of the conditions listed. However, in women, hypothyroidism can cause long heavy periods, which, over time, could lead to iron deficiency. Too many platelets is a common finding in iron deficiency anemia, and so it could be indirectly related to the hypothyroidism. However, too many platelets can have other causes as well, so it's best to ask your own doc about this.

No.: Dhea is a by-product of adrenal gland metabolism, unrelated to thyroid gland status.

No. : Hi. No, treated hypothyroidism does not put you into high risk pregnancy status. Usually your stable pre-preganancy thyroid hormone dose will need to be raised early in pregnancy. Either your OB will do that, or send you to an endocrinologist. To a healthy pregnancy!

how high a dose is 75 mcg of levothyroxine?  how often should blood be checked for hypothyroidism?

Not very high: Levothyroxin is used for hypothyroidism . The dose depends on your level of thyroid dysfunction. We usually check the dose within the first year of therapy every 2-3 months depending on how the patient is doing. Once you are stabilized  you could be tested once or twice per year.

i am hypothyroid ! my dosage was to high and needed to be adjusted! my tsh was .069 how long will it take to get back to normal levels?

6 weeks: Depending upon the reference, we usually suggest taking any given levothyroxine dose for at least 6wks prior to (re)checking your tsh. Make adjustments as necessary & then recheck again in another 6wks. While most labs use 0.45 to 4.5 as normal reference range, many specialists aim for somewhere between 1-2 as long as you're feeling good w/o side effects.

hv hoshimoto/hypothyroid.  lost 135 lbs 5 yrs ago thru healthy eating & lots of excercise.  i hv gained 35 lbs back. cortisol high & cn tht cause gain?

Probably, but: with hypothyroidism, uncontrolled, you can have weight gain too easily, not necessarily the cortisol alone, and you are on prednisone, better follow up with your 1ry MD / Endocrinologist.

It's complicated...: Assuming that one is interpreting correctly the lab results, the causes for low thyroid and high testosterone levels may be that the feedback chemicals and stimulating chemicals in the body are not working properly, so the normal amounts of thyroid and testosterone hormones are not present. Endocrinology can get complex. The doctor can check for viral infections, immune disorders, and tumors, too.
