It could be: If your hypothyroidism is related to an autoimmune disorder, then your skin problem may be as well - guilty by association. Make sure that you have not become allergic to one of the medications you have been taking. There are several options on treatment and I suggest that you consult a dermatologist, a 2nd opinion if needed.
