Depends upon med...: Statins are the most commonly prescribed cholesterol lowering medication. One well know side effect is muscle aches. There used to be greater concern for liver issues but the fda recently announced that regular monitoring was no longer required. On the other hand, the fda also acknowledged that there was evidence linking statins to increase blood sugars as well as memory concerns. Talk to your doc.

Your doctor knows: better, hence his/her judgement and prescription, Espiride (sulpiride) is an antidepressant, no alternative in the USA, however, all psychiatric medications are given with caution as they can interact with other medicines, so your doctor knows your condition and the medicines you are on,  keep the follow up and discuss your worries on the next call/visit, wish you wellness

GAD: Your high cholesterol level is not likely related to your anxiety disorder. You may or may not need medication for anxiety. Options:  Talking therapy ranks really high. Cognitive Behavioral therapy or psychotherapy can be effective. Aim for daily exercise, 8 hours of sleep per night &amp; good nutrition w 5 servings of veggies &amp; 4 of fruit per day. Try tai chi, yoga, Qi Gong, progressive muscle &gt;

Heart testing : It depends on the patient. We base heart tests and imaging on the clinical picture. We should not be ordering tests when not needed.  We should see most patients on these medications in person with lab tests at least every 6 months.

Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, try to lose weigh, reduce your intake of saturated fats and exercise at least 30 minutes/day. Your doctor will need to determine if you need to be on medication.
