Inflammation: Alt is an enzyme produced by the liver. When it is elevated it signifies liver inflammation which can come from multiple causes, the aasld-american association of the study of liver disease considers a normal alt to 19 or less in a woman and 30 or less in a male. Alt numbers higher than this again means there is liver inflammation.

See below: The ANA can be negative or the values could potentially be in the thousands. However the value is always not the most important point. Possibly more important is the patient's complaints, a good physical exam, and other labarotory tests. Putting all these things together will mean more then simply an ANA value. Alow value of 1:80 and diffuse joint swelling means more the 1:160 and no symptoms.

Strenuous exercise: LDH is released from cells after cell damage. It’s found in a lot of tissues types (heart, liver and skeletal muscle). For a healthy 35 year old male most likely cause is strenuous exercise, or trauma. Alcohol can also increase LDH levels. Typically a repeat LDH is done along with the LDH isoenzymes (1-4) and if LDH still persists then additional tests are needed to find out which tissue it’s from

Others do better: The problem obviously isn't your memory if plain memory tests are doing well. The name and address information can be processed more and related more to previous exposure to names and addresses. Other people who do poorly on the tests you mentioned can do better on the name and address .. and hurt the curve!.

Dawn phenomenon: I'm going to assume you're a diabetic under care. This sounds like the "dawn phenomenon"; the hormones you make late in sleep will tend to raise blood glucose a bit.  By the way, it sounds like you have good control and you should be proud.

Not always...: While a high psa score may be secondary to prostate carcinoma, other things can also cause elevated psa, such as inflammation or "prostatitis".  It is important to correlate the degree of elevation to the clinical setting for the patient involved, and it may also be important to follow the psa level over time.

Not bad: You have to have at least 2 abnormal values on a 3 hour glucose tolerance test in order  to be diagnosed with gestational diabetes. However, having one abnormal value still puts you at some risk for having an abnormally large baby.  It probably makes sense to limit  simple carbohydrates (sugar, white flour, white rice) in your diet for the remainder of your pregnancy.

Test results: The VLCFA test would need to be interpreted in context of the clinical reasons the test was done, and other test results (such as genetic testing if certain disorders were being considered.)
