A member asked:

I've done several online autism tests, and i always get pretty high scores telling me i might have autism. however, i don't really trust these results since they're mere online tests. i wanted to know how truthful they are, and how to get a real test?

There are validated tests available and these provide a screening starting point. Discuss findings and results with your PCP.

The online tests have lower objectivity, reliability, sensitivity, specificity, validity. Get the Gilliam Autism Rating Scale 3rd Edition, Child Autism Scale 2nd Edition, ADOS-2, neuropsychological exam and the MMPI-2 with the computer generated algorithm report to guide interventions and prognosis.
