Anything: You can eat whatever you want.  However, i would caution you to avoid chips and nuts for the first 2 days. Avoid using a straw for 24 hours to help prevent the clot from being lost.

Depends on procedure: Performed: from orthognathic surgery, parotid glad removal, and temporomandibular joint replacement to implants and wisdom teeth removal - the extent of the surgery will dictate overall experience.  However, with either comfortable sedation or general anesthesia, the experience during the surgery will be consistent - comfortable, relaxing, often euphoric.

If you have severe symptoms and are going to be sedated blockage of your airway may present a reason to delay your surgery.  If only local anesthesia is to be given it shouldn't be a problem except if you allergies are real bad you will feel worse after having oral surgery.  Talk to your doctor.

and still nervous about it? After root canal  the tooth is dead and the dentist can put porcelain over it making  it more durable. If you are still  excited about the procedure, do some deep breathing exercise before asking for nerve pills.
