Cyst: This is most likely what is called a "corpus lute un cyst". It arises during the normal process of ovulation, an on occasion can cause pain. It is a problem that your bodiy's mechanisms will solve on their own. It is not cancer. Your cyst is very small and will most likely never require any surgery - but the pain can last as long as 6-8 weeks (hopefully much shorter for you!).

Depends: need to see the study.  
Size is not the issue.  You are describing is likely a cyst.  Hyperemia (increase blood flow) around the cyst may be seen in ectopic pregnancy, infection or normally when there is a blood vessel adjacent to the cyst.  I would need to see the image to make an assessment.

Accepted Answer

Not unusual: "heterogeneous" just means that the uterine wall has some areas that look different from other areas on imaging (as opposed to "homogeneous, " which means that the whole uterus looks the same across the board).  Sometimes it means that a woman has fibroids or adenomyosis, but it is usually not concerning.  Your doc can tell you how that finding applies to you.

Your report indicates 3 large fibroids. Individual sonogram reports must be interpreted in the proper clinical context. Contact the ordering physician who can interpret it based on your symptoms.

Looking for?: For postmenopausal women, transvaginal ultrasound evaluation of endometrial thickness may be used as an initial study to evaluate for endometrial neoplasia in selected women. For these women, it is reasonable to defer endometrial sampling if the endometrial thickness is &lt;4 mm. Pelvic ultrasound is the imaging study of choice for the evaluation of an adnexal mass.

: A "densely echogenic focus" within the ovary may represent a clot or a fibroma.  Ask your gyn provider to obtain another ultrasound , and if the dense focus is still there, a biopsy may be necessary.
