Yes: Try some tinactin (tolnaftate) jock itch spray. You should feel better within a day or so.  Heat rash in groin is less likely.

Xerosis vs eczema...: Dry skin, allergies to detergent, or other irritants are possibilities.  Try using a skin cream without alcohol in it immediately after showering/ washing.  If this does not work try a hypoallergenic detergent.... If that fails see your doc again or go to a dermatologist.

hi, i have this heat rash or sweat rash on my leg, i cannot get it away and have tried everything. originally thought is was from excercise and sweat, but i get it on my arm or legs. forms big red rash  with thick erdge. itches when it gets warm.

took a trip to the beach and got severe heat rash leading to itching. does psych medicine cause skin to not sweat and create heat rash? treatments?

Drug reaction.: There is no indication that the drugs you are on have made you more sensitive to the sun exposure. Be sure you are not on st johns worts which may make one more sensitive to the sunlight.  It is remotely possible that a very high dose of Benadryl (diphenhydramine) may reduce your sweating but it will have to be more than 10 times the average dose . I suspect your rash is from something else.

Doctor can check: Rashes and spots are difficult to describe or visualize in words. Widespread spots may be part of an allergic reaction, or viral or bacterial infection. Tiny blisters can be chicken pox or folliculitis. Bluish or purplish spots may be blood spots and may need blood tests. Sometimes, spots have unknown causes. His doctor or dermatologist can examine both him and the rash, to find a diagnosis.

This : This rash could be a few different things. 
- impetigo is a skin infection caused by bacteria - either streptococcus or staph. This needs to be treated with antibiotics. 
- contact dermatitis is skin inflammation. It can be caused by plants such as poison ivy or poison oak or it can be from contact of a chemical or item that a person is particularly sensitive to. This is usually treated with steroid creams or oral steroids. 
- viral illness such as chicken pox, shingles or herpes can also cause painful blisters on a red base. This can be treated with anti-virals or just needs to run its course depending on the severity of the infection.

The best thing to do is to contact his doctor and have him seen, since each possible problem requires different treatments. Good luck.

This is likely: Do get this seen by your physician at your yearly physical. We want to be sure it's not pre-cancer -- this pops up as little red splotches on the glans. I admire and respect you as an outdoor worker -- thanks for what you do. Some talcum / gold bond powder to the area before and after can work minor miracles for heat rashes on a guy.

This : This is unlikely shingles since the rash itself has lasted months. Perhaps it is a fungal infection or folliculitis or eczema or psoriasis?  I would recommend you see a dermatologist and get an accurate diagnosis so you can start good treatment to help your symptoms.  It is quite common to have these conditions in that location. I hope that helps a little.
