GERD /Low acid diet: Write a journal with the food or medicines that exacerbate your symptoms. Avoid those. Not pregnant individuals may get benefit from antacids, h blockers like zantac, (ranitidine) pepcid, tagamet  at the right dosis or stronger meds likes Omeprazole or other ppis. It is likely you will need at least an upper GI radiologic study or better an upper endoscopy to rule out ulcers, hiatus hernia.

Incompetent LES: Les(lower esophageal sphincter) normaly keeps stomach acid in the stomach, it is located where esophagus meets the stomach.It opens to allow the food in the stomach or to permit belching and then it closes again.But if it does not close tight enough the stomach acid finds its way in the esophagus and cause heartburn.It can be exaggerated by certain food, obesity, smoking, alcohol intake etc, can be tre.

Gerd: things that should be avoided are: coffee, soft drinks, spicy food, greasy food, tomatoes, smoking, but honey should not cause any problem

: Gallbladder and stomach inflammation may cause this referred pain  Consider H pylori testing, a probiotic and eating yogurt with your meals. A PPI can be prescribed by your physician. Watch for severe pain,fever and vomiting.

Gastroenterologist: A gastroenterologist is best qualified to evaluate and treat you. Appropriate tests will be ordered in order to make a diagnosis. Stool color varies:   The color comes from bile which is yellow/green and then is converted by bacteria to shades of brown, unless transit time is very fast.    If stools are white or light tan, it may indicate a blockage of bile or a liver condition and needs evaluation.   Bile helps to digest fats, so without a gall bladder, fats may not digest well, which can have a laxative effect and not allow color conversion.

You may be: Stress and anxiety can certainly cause other physical ailments such as increasing acid production, leading to possible GERD or ulcers.  The acid issue can be treated by avoiding trigger foods that also affect you, and medications.  Controlling anxiety however is the main issue causing your problems, so treating that is paramount.  See the Dr. for a good exam, evaluation, and treatment.

GERD: is a "finding" by studies (X RAY.....GASTROSCOPY) and may be completely ASYMPTOMATIC!

Thus your pain is NOT explained by GERD but the normal studies should be encouraging!

Report your remaining symptoms to your treating Provider for more ?additional treatment!

Be what you eat: Could be both or even colitis, Avoid all tobacco, caffeine, carbonated beverages, spicy or acidic and fatty or greasy foods for 48 hours. Try natural digestive enzymes of papain and bromelain. If symptoms recur with bland meals get checked for Hiatial Hernia and gall bladder disease by your PCP
