Here/there is OK: Sugarless gum is probably not a bad thing..But anything in excess is not a good thing. Sugarless gum contains sorbitol...A laxitive and so excessive use may cause some stomach/intestinal upset etc...
Also, excessive chewing will strain your jaws/tmj, wear-out your teeth etc...So, moderation, rorome!
be sensible, stay healthy...

Healthy gums are extremely important to systemic blood vessel lining health.  The bacteria can induce healthy gums to change quickly if left in place for more than a day and supplied with food.  The saliva and your immune system will fail to keep them in check.  Open  wounds result.

The texture of the gums should be stippled, not shiny and smooth.  Shiny and blood could indicate edema and beginning inflammation.  Inflammation in the gums is a serious problem.  It leads to bacterial presence in your blood vessel.

Very easily. : Other than ur regular home care and brush/floss.. U should rinse with warm  salt water( one tea spoon in 4 ounces of water).  And also some antibacterial  rinse such as listerine. Try avoiding any hot/ spicy food. It is not a big deal.. No worries,  if it is a superficial cut.

Healthy gums: Healthy gums are nice and clean and pink, not red. Redness is a sign of inflammation...Gingivitis or periodontitis. Healthy gums don't bleed, and are tightly attached to the teeth, without the formation of periodontal pockets between the gums and the teeth. Good for you for having a checkup....You should have one every six months. Your dentist will be able to tel if your gums are healthy.
