Hello: The treatment is to reduce the fracture by manipulation from the traumatologist and then a cast is applied to keep it in its anatomical position. The swelling will diminish and the deformity may no longer be visible. Normally it will not remain deformed or just a little callus could be palpable.

: Osteophytes are arthritic spurs on your vertebrae. These are mild. You have evidence of collapsed vertebrae which could be old or recent. Any history of old back trauma? Any recent severe back pain? If no significant back injury to explain these compression fractures, predisposing osteoporosis is the cause. Were you ever treated with high dose corticosteroids? Your MD will order a bone density.

Colles deformity: First, best to ask Ortho Surg - I am Primary Care doc.  But that being said, I have had and treated multiple such fractures - fracture site often has bump forever - this is good - it is callous/ bone formation making this area stronger - might break again, but not in same fracture site, which is often stronger due to this callous.

Could be permanent: Unless properly splinted, casted, or taped by an expert, there could be permanent deformity. Even if "perfectly" aligned, there can be callous formation causing swelling on the bony fracture heal line. If there is angulation or visible deformity at present, see a plastic surgical or orthopedic specialist in hand surgery and get the correct x-ray diagnosis of problem or not! good luck!

Sounds like: chronic mild compression fractures of T12 and L3.  Also sounds like no NEW fractures. May need a DEXA scan to check your bone mineral density. Your primary care or Gyn doctor can help you with this.

Cartilage damage: Prominent marrow edema of the lateral trochlea  means that the cartilage covering the bone in this area is injured or worn thin.  This is a common place to develop arthritis which causes marrow edema when the cartilage gets too thin or is worn out and bare bone is exposed there.  If you had a recent injury, it could be cartilage damage rather than arthritis. See your provider for recommendations.
