Caution: I would avoid taking non steroidal products along with plavix due to the increased risk of bleeding with the mix.
Simple tylenol may be a better choice. Should the headache become very severe, change your vision or get nausous go to the ER

my mom just went off plavix, (clopidogrel) she started to have a headache after 3 4 days, she never gets headaches. could this be related?

Plavix (clopidogrel) and headaches: As far as i know there is no reason to suspect that going off plavix
should associated with headaches. If the headaches continue then
you should see your doctor.

i have lupus (on plaquenil only) and just tested positive for covid. so far have had nearly all the symptoms and am run down.  intermittent terrible headaches (entire head) but am on plavix for a stent. when should i be concerned about the headaches?

Comments: COVID-19 can be associated with bad headaches, lasting literally for weeks.  If intermittent, seems to be the usual pattern, but if becomes constant or associated with visual loss, nausea and vomiting, high fever, imbalance, you need to contact your doctor.  Of significance, Plaquenil was thought initially to be of value for viral control, and the Plavix should protect against added problems.

worst headache of my life over 1week ago & now daily right sided headaches since then.no prior history of headaches.on plavix &aspirin for years.pcp assumes its a migraine & recommended imitrex. no imaging done. is imitrex dangerous to take if bleed?

: The “worst headache of your life” with no prior headaches is concerning, especially since you are taking Plavix and aspirin. You should probably get a CT scan of your head just to make sure there is no bleed. So, you can call your PCP to get it done as an outpatient or go to the nearest emergency room. If no bleed is found, then alternate diagnoses, like migraine, can be pursued. Good luck!

i had an eeg as a follow up form mri which revealed two old strokes. i have a clotting disorder so now on eliquis and plavix. after eeg, i developed a severe headache and dizziness. waiting on results. does that mean it was abnormal ?

: The "severe headache and dizziness" was not caused by the EEG and suspect that the stress of your current evaluation triggered these symptoms.  Impossible to predict how your EEG will be interpreted based on what occurred subsequently.  Suggest you get proactive and contact the doctor's office regarding the interpretation.

im diagnosed with a right internal carotid artery dissection.my neurologist thinks it happened a while ago and it is now healed but the artery has narrowed , im on plavix 75mg a day but my headaches+neck pain persist, will it ever go away?

: Would suggest managing the neck issues with physical therapy and appropriate exercises, such as McKenzie's approaches.  Ask your neurologist about the type of headaches, which may be triggered by neck symptoms, and if anti-migraine-type drugs might be useful. Complicated: You may well be having adverse reactions to one or more medications, and best to contact your doctor and discuss potential of revising some of this.  Yet, clearly you likely need the type of medication prescribed to prevent potential future stroke.

Get an ultrasound: When you say you had a stroke from  a carotid, was it repaired, ie an endarterectomy?  It is likely there is narrowing of this vessel creating  a  noise your doctor hears(bruit) You should get a carotid ultrasound, to see if there is a severe blockage in the carotid.  If so, you may require a carotid endarterectomy or stent which can be done at fairly low risk and may prevent another stroke

: Your chances of bleeding into the joint after injection into it are increased if you're taking both plavix&amp;aspirin. Most people go off their anticoagulant, aspirin or plavix for 2-7 days before an intraarticular injection. Your physician or cardiologist may not want you to stop your plavix at all and the orthopedic specialist or rheumatologist may ask you to forego the joint injection.
