Most cancers involve one testicle only, but those with testicular cancer appear to have abnormalities with their sperm in the unaffected testis. Removal of both testicles, chemotherapy, or retroperitoneal surgery for more advanced testis cancer can render the patient infertile.

No: Semen production is no longer possible after a prostatectomy for prostate cancer, because the glands that produce the fluid, namely the prostate and the seminal vesicles, are removed during the operation.  Men may still have fluid from the urethra during sex due to secretions from small urethral glands.

Yes: Being an active smoker increases your risk of post-operative complications after lung surgery, including pneumonia and blood clots.  You should be completely off of cigarettes at least 2 weeks before surgery.

See a Dr.: He should see a Dr. There are many causes for high blood pressure, and one of them is kidney disease. If his second kidney is having difficulty, the Dr may change medications or prescribe a specific diet to keep the damage to a minimum. Make sure his diabetes is being well controlled. Test 4-5 times daily and adjust meds and diet according to results.

See doctor: If you have not had routine breast cancer screening (mammograms and breast exams by a health care professional) you should have those.  If your mother had breast cancer you may have a higher risk of breast cancer.  If you notice any abnormality on a self breast exam, you need to see your doctor.

See below: Hematuria should always be followed up to find the cause. See your surgeon/urologist who performed surgery to discuss issue & be checked out. May not be related (good thump on the back can cause blood in urine, but with your history, best not to take chances. Good luck.
