Presume you mean: A vertebral body, because you cannot remove the entire spine. Usually this is done for cancer traveled to the bony spine, but longevity/length of survival depends on many other factors...Is that the only site of disease? Time from initial diagnosis to the new finding. How "healthy" is the patient, vigorous and out of bed and chair or sedentary? Did you ask the operating surgeon? Ask!
