Bruises: Most likely bruises and clotted blood. It may take several days to go away. Watch for any sign of infection such as fever, swelling, redness etc. Depending on the intensity of the injury, it may even cause small fractures in the hand bones. Please have it evaluated by a physician if there is any concern.

More : More information is needed for a proper recommendation.  Different diagnosis could have the same presentation, causing bumps to show, like dupuytren's, ganglions or even abscesses.  Is it superficial or deep, painful or not?  Go see your pcp for a proper evaluation.

In an older child who plays on playground monkey bars, the likely diagnosis is a callus. In toddlers, a skin bump there may be a reaction to a tiny splinter, a small wart, molluscum, etc,... Usually, an in-person exam can figure it out.
