I banged my hand really hard now i have blue lumps that hurt really bad on the palm of my hand. is it just bruises or is it something worse?

Bruises: Most likely bruises and clotted blood. It may take several days to go away. Watch for any sign of infection such as fever, swelling, redness etc. Depending on the intensity of the injury, it may even cause small fractures in the hand bones. Please have it evaluated by a physician if there is any concern.
