i had breast liposuction 5 mon. ago. dr adviced to make regular massage in order to help draining lymphs. few days ago i noticed pea size lump at top-right edge of the breast where level 1 axil.nodes should be. movable, hard, 1cm, no pain. is it ok?

: It is likely a reactive lymph node due to the procedure 5 months ago. You should check it a couple times a month for the size and any significant change. See doctor if it gets bigger or new one occurs. If it gets smaller by time, you can ignore it.

Depends on the cause: of the lump. It could be swelling, a hematoma ,a seroma, an infection..... So see the surgeon to check it out.

Post Lipo lumps: Hard to say. If "lumps' due to swelling/blood collection than over the 3 month healing time with aggressive lymphatic massages they should decrease. If "lumps" residual fat deposits than those are permanent. In this later case I might try Injection Lipolysis treatments (fee $880/session).

what causes lumpiness after chin liposuction? i've read some forum comments about people having lumps in their neck after chin liposuction. is that normal? does it go away?

There : There may be some lumpiness in the early postoperative phase as collagen is laid into the wound. This should resolve after a few weeks to months. There is also a chance of uneven fat removal because of the inherent structure of the skin and subcutaneous tissues. This does not happen in every patient but there is a risk for this complication.

Liposuction : Liposuction works better on thinner people. Of course, you still need to have enough fat in the areas of concern for liposuction to have an effect. Stubborn, disproportionate areas of fat in someone close to their ideal weight are ideal for the procedure. There is lower risk of gaining weight after liposuction which can negatively affect your results.

Liposuction has the ability to selectively remove fat deposits exactly from the areas where we want it removed. This is different than weight loss, where the fat goes away following your genetic road map.

No  : Fat relocation after liposuction is a technique used to move fat from a lipo site to another close site, lipo shifting.  Moving fat from one area to another area is fat transfer.  Fat that is left behind and does not get a blood supply is broken down.  Weight gain after liposuction can cause areas of fat that were not liposuctioned to increase in size--making one think that fat was relocated.
