Fracture care: If it is truly a hairline fracture, which means an incomplete fracture, then yes.  As long as you also refrain from any stressful activities with the hand.  It will take approximately 6-8 weeks to heal under normal circumstances.

IT MAY BE H/O TRAUMA: It may be if there is history of trauma you can recallbut it can be due to other causes like infection, cellulitis, allergic reaction to insect bite, arthritis.Get it checked and only way you can know if it is hairline fracture is by doing an xray after exam.

Fracture or not?: After an accident like this, if you have enough pain that you think you may have fractured your finger, it is best to visit a physician so that he or she can make sure that you have intact neurovascular status. Your doctor can splint your finger and order x-rays if appropriate. The diagnosis of a fracture is suspected with point tenderness and pain, but is confirmed with radiographs.

You may need an xray and/or immobilization, sometimes even surgery. It's best to diagnose fractures early, so you can best heal in alignment.

Depends: Clinical examination would include assessment of the occlusion (bite), tenderness to palpation of the muscles and jaw , resistance movements (both opening and closing), and manipulation of the jaw. Also, tooth position/looseness would be checked. Radiographic imaging would include Panoramic and 3D scans. Some may add a lateral Ceph. See a specialist - Oral Surgeon- for evaluation. Good Luck.
