Pain, swelling...: ... Decreased painful range of motion, strength deficits, night pain, persistent symptoms more than three or four days. If you have point tenderness, this too is a suggestive sign that may require a visit to your primary care doc, sports doc or orthopedist. You may need an xray and/or immobilization, sometimes even surgery. It's best to diagnose fractures early, so you can best heal in alignment.
