had strep throat beg of jan and was treated i waited couple weeks to be seen again i still had lil white patch on each tonsil can it be scarring?

Unlikley: You will get white patches on the tonsils from viral illness, but you can also get food particles in the crypts of your tonsils that appear white.  These will come and go.  Nothing to worry about.

strep throat a month ago. took zpak, feel better, no pain now, still white patches in throat&right side tonsils look weird&struggle w plugged ear.why?

Tonsils post-infx: It sounds like the infection cleared up ok (azithromycin is not my favorite drug for strep, it works ok), but you have more concern about chronic changes present in your tonsils and that is what is likely affecting your ear as well. If this is a one time thing, i'd give it another 4-8 weeks as long as you're feeling ok. If you have had chronic problems with recurrent tonsil/throat, time to see ent.

7 yr old just finished augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) for 10 days for strep throat feels fine no fever but has small yellow patch on tonsil is that normal or still strep?

The only way ...: ....To tell for sure is a strep test.  Return to your doctor to find out for sure.

That's long enough: Depending on how bad the infection and inflammation in one's throat is, 1-2 weeks may be needed to heal back to normal after treating strep throat. Strep throat is not resistant to penicillin or amoxicillin, so that treatment almost always works. For a few patients, bacteria remain and symptoms return (a throat swab strep test can confirm it), and they may need another course of antibiotics.

i got diagnosed with strep throat 3 days ago but my boyfriend doesn't seem to have any symptoms is there still a chance he has it or no ?

Maybe.: He could have had the same strain of strep that you have before and is now immune to that one.  Or he may not show symptoms yet, because he was exposed later, and will start having symptoms in the next week or so.  If he has any symptoms, even just a runny nose or only vomiting or stomach ache, that could be strep,but without a sore throat and it needs treatment then, too.

Assume “throat”: The description I see does not mention the exact anatomy but from context I assume it is a feeling of something stuck in your throat.  This is a relatively common symptom.   Oftentimes it is actually stomach related due to reflux and is called a Globus Sensation.  However, more serious pathology of the oropharynx and esophagus cannot be ruled out without direct visualization.  Speak with your pcp

? confirmed?: The treatment will often kill off the germ and end your chance of spreading strep,but it may take some time for your system to repair the inflammation, tissue injury caused before treatment.Some who have a viral infection, like mono, will test positive for strep at the same time. If so,you must deal with recovering from both.If never tested for strep,it may have just been viral &amp; zpack did noting

Depends..: Fevers can take around 4 days to stop after taking abx. As long as your pain isn't a lot worse and you can take fluids well, just cont your abx. If you are not better in another 2-3 days, call your doc.

is it still possible to have strep throat even if throat culture is negative?

Probably viral: A throat culture is considered the "gold standard" when it comes to diagnosing strep throat. It is very accurate and specific to strep throat. It is more likely that you have a viral throat infection. It should last around 5-7 days. Ibuprofen, salt water gargles and rest should help.
