my son has pinworms and got his medicine (pyrovium) yesterday. i also have them and took what was left from his worm sirup 2/3 of the dose for my weight yesterday. but today the pinworms are even more in the stool. is this normal to still have them?

: The medication is toxic to the worms and will kill them in place. Their caucuses will shed in the poop until they are extruded from the bowel. Many practitioners treat twice, a week apart to kill any leftover pinworms.

Need exam of stool: Pinworms usually produce severe itching, particularly at night, around the anus.  A scotch tape test looking for the worms is the best way to diagnose this and is fairly simple.  No way to know what the "string looking things" are without some tests.

how long am i to see pinworms in my stool after second dose of albenza (albendazole). it's been two weeks? are they dead worms? how do i know?

Pinworms: You can be reinfected, the therapy may not have been adequate, or what you are seeing are not worms. You don't say whether you are still symptomatic. Might help to see a doctor and have these looked at. Good luck.

i have pinworms but my stool test came up negative! and my parents don't believe me because these worms rarely appear in my stool.theyre very itchy!

Maybe/not: PW's will come out to lay eggs around your anus when you have been still for a long time, often at night. See through tape applied across this area at night can show eggs or sometimes worms. You itch because of the glue like ooze the eggs are deposited into. It's not the only reason people itch there. Food allergies, yeast or germ infection, etc. can also cause it.

i am experiencing  hemorrhoids and worms in stool. the following also describes me: anal itching. can pinworms get under the skin as it looks like they're inside the hemorrhoids?

Parasites: I have never heard of that occurring. Recommend treating the worms.

i know i should go in but have no insurance i have skinny white small worm looking things in stool along with lots of mucus they dont move and red and black small globs in dark green stool, only poop about 2-3 times a week?

i gave my child albendazole for pin worm treatment at 2:30pm today, i gave him his melatonin at 8:30pm. is there any interactions with taking both?

: There is no interaction between Albendazole and Melatonin.

No: Pinworms do NOT get in air systems.  They are not airborne.  However, they are transmitted person to person and fecal-oral contact.  Gross, I know.

i have had pin worm for 10yrs. i had my 1st child 3yrs ago with no problem, but recently experienced  2 miscarriages. could p worm  scarring cause m/c?

Pinworms??: Pinworms are not known to cause any medical problems of this nature. Anal itching & a rash are about as bad is it gets.Perhaps you are confused about another disorder.
