Tough Problem: Distal biceps tendinitis with or without gout is a very difficult problem to treat and somewhat controversial.  Many  with tendiintis have a partial tendon tear.  This may heal but it could take a year.  If after 6-9 months you are not better, i would recommend an MRI to assess the biceps tendon and plan needed surgery. No wt lifting while healing.

It's : It's hard to answer your question without knowing more detail, like was the gout in that same ankle?  How was the gout treated?  If the gouty joint is different from the ankle, is your gout all better?

Perhaps you were walking in such a way to avoid pain in the gouty joint, which caused the heel/ankle pain?

It sounds like a broken record here, but obviously, the best advice anyone could give you is to go back to your doctor and report this new finding.
