Dear Love ++: Love handles seem to become a problem in both men and women starting in the early 40's.  Hormones change and our body fat distribution changes too.  First, i imagine you might be overweight, by losing weight you will lose weight all over including the love handles. Exercise is important.  Start by walking, then there are several great classes, dvd's, and trainers that can teach specific exercises.

Ultimately you need to burn more than you consume.

S/he can review your goals against what you're actually doing, and see what changes might help.  Please understand, though -- healthy weight loss is ongoing, not immediate. You may also benefit from a strength training program 2-3 days/week, in addition to the aerobics you're doing now.

Low carb!: Exercise will help tone your pooch and love nadles, but not selectively lose fat.  You are an apple by definition.  You need to follow a low carb lifestyle, not only to kee "svelte" but also to prevent cholsterol and BP issues! core strengthening exercise and crunches are best!

Left abd pain: At "eight weeks pregnant" the pain may be in the ovary or even the fallopian tube. See your ob.gyn for a pelvic ultrasound to make certain about the origin of the pain.  Sometimes "dates" are wrong, and the pregnancy may not be in the uterus.
