After discussing the problem he/she will offer a treatment plan to take care of your problem
he/she may order diagnostic tests.

Yes: A foot specialist will check over your feet every 6 months for callus care and nail care as Diabetics should not be trimming their own nails on account of decreased feeling.

Not unusual...: This is not common, but not unusual either.  It depends on what type of procedure was done to kill the nail growth cells.  You may just need a healing promotion cream (like traumeel).  Ask your doctor, it's probably a simple treatment plan.

i am having issues with corns, i have been going to the podiatrist and he would kinda grind the corns in between my toes but few days later they back again and now they really painful?

Shoes: The corns are due to excessive pressure and friction between the toes. You ought to get better fitting shoes.  You may apply salicylic acid cream, available over the counter to soften the corns and you could scrape the callouses yourself.

Treatment: That is dependent of the actual injury. Some options may include :  rest, splinting, rigid shoes. Buddy taping or surgery.

Trauma vs meds: A nail that is turning blue or black from localized trauma will eventually fall off and regrow over 6-9 months. You can consult a podiatrist if it looks like the nail is adhering unevenly or not growing back. If you are taking Minocycline or antimalarials, your toenails and fingernails can develop blue areas. This reaction stops occurring when the med is discontinued.
