is there a diet that i can go on to shrink my gastric bypass pouch back down to the size that it was. have lost over 200+ want to go another 50 lbs.  ?

Probably not: Diet alone will not shrink the pouch.  However, limiting your portion sizes should help.  Be sure you are limiting high fat foods and carbohydrates.  Most people eat too much of these.  If you limit them you should lose weight.  Also, are you exercising?  If you walk daily it should help with weight loss.  Be sure to talk with your doctor about a good goal weight.  Good luck!

Post bypass diet: Every surgeon has their own preferences. I generally progress patients from a liquid to a solid diet over a 5 week period of time. Liquids for the first 2 weeks, pureed liquids in week three, soft food in week 4, and solid food in week 5.

why bypass failed: It sounds as if the bypass surgery didnt teach you about portion control. Making good choices and portion control can help you to lose the weight as could psychological intervention as to the reasons for overeating. I suggest both, try to join a group that will teach you good eating habits while you learn why you have a tendency to overeat.

Yes eat less: What gastric by pass do ? It will not allow you to eat , as the stomach is tiny, same thing with  dr alain lewis 5 bite diet , consuming only five bites of food , no break fast , low carbohydrates,  no sugary drinks no transfats , surly will loose weight  if you follow.

Depends: Limiting your calorie intake is a good start for weight loss. But you must be careful about how much you limit it and what you are limiting. To few calories makes your body go into starvation mode and is not healthy. It is best to speak with a weight loss specialist/dietician or your doctor to determine the proper calorie intake for you and your goals. Be sure you eat the right foods as well.

Pickles may not have much calories, but are rich in salt and vinegar, and may stimulate appetite. If you plan to have gastric bypass start today to set up a mental attitude of how you are going to modify your diet.

Stay on meds!: I know u asked about surg, but meds first. Anger issues: i can see why your doc would want you to stay on your meds. However, none of the meds listed are antipsychotics, so I am confused. Phentermine, while for wt loss, can make anger worse. See if doc will try metformin instead. And instead of the clonazepam, what was your antipsychotic?Is there a less fatty one? Or it with metformin?
