Multiple causes: Increased gas formation may be due to drinking too much carbonated beverages, eating too quickly, not chewing food well before swallowing, high fiber diets...A gas bubble that gets caught (often in the right or left upper quadrant of abdomen) can cause pain in various parts of chest and abdomen. Try correcting above listed problems; then try gas-x, or an otc product with simethocone three daily.

: Prunes/prune juice can be a helpful addition to maintain regularity and prevent constipation. Start with 2 prunes/ 4 oz prune juice in the morning and increase the amount daily until you have a soft stool. If watery stool, reduce the dosage. It can take 1-5 days. It could be pain coming from heart, such as angina, or from lung such as pulmonary embolus, so you should see your doctor.  These conditions are potentially serious, so get to a doctor for any chest pains.

Odynophagia: ... Is the medical term for pain upon swallowing. There can be many causes, although most commonly it is due to some sort of irritation of the larynx or esophagus. Acid reflux is a very common cause, although medications, very hot or cold foods, and upper respiratory tract infections could contribute at times, among other things.
