Needs examination: Right sided abdominal pain can be due to gallstones, appendicitis, kidney stones, bowel inflammation, hernias. If the pain is spasmodic and like an electric current it could be neurogenic i.e. caused by a nerve entrapment. You will need an examination and possibly an abdominal ultrasound to help decide on the cause of the pain. Please see your nearest urgent care clinic

Abdominal discomfort: You don't mention how long you've had this symptom. Discomfort in the right upper abdomen can be from gall bladder or liver inflammation. It could also be simply a muscular inflammation, strain or pinched nerve. If symptoms persist and especially if there's associated tenderness, have a physician examine and advise you. Appropriate testing would be done.

i recently had a tearing or ripping feeling in my upper right abdomen, it went away, but it was scary, i have ibs/acid reflux, should i be concerned?

Abdominal discomfort: If the discomfort was Sharp and fleeting, it could have been trapped intestinal gas which eventually broke down or was passed. Gall bladder disorders can also be a cause of right upper abdominal discomfort and would be strongly considered if symptoms recur especially after eating fried or greasy foods. Consult your physician if symptoms recur and the appropriate tests will be ordered.

Yes most likely : as long as there is no pain this is likely a normal part of pregnancy , see your ob/gyn if it gets worse

See below: Numbness ( loss of sensation ) indicates nerve damage / irritation.  Nerves that innervate that area travel from brain down the spinal cord, out the spinal cord and around to your abdomen. Somewhere along the course of the nerve you have some compression, irritation or damage. Don't know what they checked in your blood, but seems like the money is in looking at your abdomen / back.

Many causes: The causes of right sided abdominal pain are many. In upper abdomen, gall bladder, liver, stomach, small bowel, large bowel, and kidney can all contribute. Appendix symptoms are usually in the right lower quadrant of abdomen.The large bowel extends from right to left side and cause both right and left sided pain. Right kidney and head of pancreas may also be left sided. See doctor for exxamination.

If pain : Continues you need to see doctor ASAP. Not three months down the road.  Try to schedule your appt sooner.  Stating your symptoms.   Most offices will get you in as a sick visit.  If not. Several urgent care offices are opening up.  I prefer you staying with your primary doctor though

RUQ pain: Pain in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen  can come from a duodenal ulcer, gallbladder or even the lower part of the right lung. These symptoms require a careful history and physical examination by a physician (or pa, np) for accurate diagnosis. (this should include a rectal exam and testing for occult blood). Other testing may be required depending upon the examination.

Vague symptoms: These are all very vague symptoms that can point to many things. With the right upper quadrant pain, a good place to start is an ultrasound to check for gallstones.
